Delete Your JOOD Account

You can permanently delete your JOOD account and associated data directly inside the JOOD mobile application.

Delete Your Account Inside JOOD

1. Open the JOOD app.
2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
3. Open Profile.
4. Scroll to Delete Account.
5. Tap Delete Account.
6. Read the warning and confirm permanent deletion.
7. Wait for JOOD to complete the request and return you to sign-in.

Request Deletion Without the App

If you no longer have access to JOOD, cannot sign in, or have already uninstalled the app, you may request account deletion by email.

Include:

• The email address associated with your JOOD account
• A clear statement that you want the account permanently deleted
• Any information reasonably needed to identify the correct account

For security, we may ask you to verify ownership of the account before completing an email deletion request.

Do not send your password, authentication code, payment information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Data Deleted

When account deletion is completed, JOOD is designed to permanently delete:

• Your JOOD user account
• Your authentication account
• Your account-associated backend records under JOOD's control
• Your stored profile information
• Your saved language, dialect, and personality information
• Your saved JOOD memories under JOOD's control
• Locally stored chats and messages associated with your account
• Relevant locally stored preferences and cached profile information

Data That May Be Retained

Limited information may be retained only when reasonably necessary for:

• Compliance with applicable law or lawful requests
• Fraud and abuse prevention
• Security investigations
• Dispute resolution
• Enforcement of legal rights
• Financial, tax, or accounting obligations where applicable

Any retained information will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.

Subscriptions and Store Purchases

Deleting your JOOD account may not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Apple or Google.

Before deleting your account, cancel any active subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account if you do not want it to renew.

Processing Time

In-app deletion is intended to be processed immediately after confirmation, subject to service availability.

Email requests will be reviewed and completed within a reasonable period after required account verification.
